Aqiqah Qurban – A Sunnah of Welcoming New Life
Aqiqah Qurban is a beautiful Sunnah performed in gratitude for the birth of a child. It is a way for Muslim parents to honour this blessing by sacrificing an animal and distributing its meat to those in need, while offering prayers for the child’s well-being, protection, and piety.
🌙 Traditionally performed on the 7th, 14th, or 21st day after birth—but can be done at any time (For Eid-al Adha, we perform in Eid)—this act reflects love, mercy, and a deep connection to the prophetic tradition.
